D's been gone a few days, but the Dynamic Duo and I had an enjoyable, relaxing weekend at home.
At 4:45pm Saturday afternoon, Flash let me know it was time for dinner. She was quite persistent, but I was able to hold her off until 5pm.
For a few minutes, the Duo thought it was necessary to play "Guard dog" and bark at anything they deemed necessary. Flash doesn't seem to like my "Be quiet" instructions.
I sent this to D to let him know that the Duo missed him and to tell his mom that she needs to come visit. They are clearly bored with me.
After sleeping for what seemed like a gazillion hours, Flash finally found the energy to be ornery on Sunday. I tried to tell her there was nothing exciting on the table, but she refused to believe me. She had to check things out for herself.
People say dogs don't do things out of spite. I'm not 100% convinced on that. They've yet to live with Flash. After being gone the majority of Sunday, it took her quite awhile to settle down once I got home. Once she finally did, this was the view I was left with. I'm not even sure how this was comfortable.
And, this is what I woke up to this morning. I had to pull myself out of bed and this is how I found them after getting out of the shower. Weekends at home are apparently exhausting.

They do look exhausted after all the counter-surfing, bunkbed sleeping, and dinner alert warnings. Though your duo are also in "the cutest Bassethounds ever" category. And quite entertaining to boot.
I want to be like your duo! That is my kind of weekend.
they always look so nice and cozy when they are sleeping!
