An outing

Sunday evening, we got together at a local park with some of our church friends for a cookout. Since the park was only a couple of blocks away, we thought it'd be fun to take the Dynamic Duo for a little bit. If they got too crazy, we knew it'd be easy to take them back home. Surprisingly, they both did really well for the most part. We were able to hook their leashes to a picnic table and I sat right by the table. They were happy as long as I was in sight and close enough to come see me. The couple times I got too far away, Flash very loudly declared her displeasure. It was a lot of fun having them there! My good friend E even commented that they were calmer than normal! Yes! After being there for almost a couple of hours, D and I walked them home so we could head back to play Ultimate Frisbee with everyone.

My favorite part of the evening was seeing Ollie up on top of the table. He climbed up there and relaxed for quite awhile. He must've liked being higher up!

What a super fun outing! How in the heck did Ollie gets up on that table? I sure wouldn't have thought that was pawsible considering his Most Short legs. But then - he is kind of a superdog.

I think Bassets must have a height-complex issue. Ours were always trying to get higher...though mostly through counter-surfing.
