Family

After the U2 concert, we spent a day at home then headed to meet family in Angol to spend the day at the lake. My sister and family were in town from NE and we couldn 't wait to see the girls. I grew up going to this lake with my family to visit my parent's good friends. I have such fond memories from the lake, but since they tore down the cottage and rebuilt a new one, it was little strange at first. We had a great day on the boat, jet ski and relaxing. I failed to take any pictures except this one. The kids got into the toy closet and Miss S came out in these...

Friday morning, we got up and tackled the challenge of family pictures. All in all, it was pretty harmless and we all survived. We spent more time with the nieces in the afternoon...I made a mistake of teaching the two oldest how to play Angry Birds. That was all they wanted to do...totally drained my phone battery! But, it was fun to watch them catch on get pretty good at it.

Saturday morning, while D and dad golfed, mom and I took the girls to the mall. I started a tradition when the oldest niece turned 3 of taking them to Build-A-Bear for their third birthday. It was finally Miss S' turn and she was excited. She told me beforehand that she wanted a monkey. We ended up with a Fudge Pup that we appropriately named Mousse. She had a great time picking everything out and dressing her pup.
After Build-A-Bear, we had to find Miss M a princess necklace. Thankfully, we found a super cheap jewelry store where the majority of items were on sale for $1 and she picked out a very nice bracelet/necklace combo.

My favorite part of the morning was treating everyone to Starbucks. The girls had never experienced it before, so we ordered 2 "chocolate" shakes and 1 "vanilla" shake. They were so cute sipping on them and I think they really liked them! I have probably started a bad habit, but what's an aunt for if she can't spoil those sweet girls!!

During the afternoon, Dad, D and I took A golfing for the first time. She loves to drive the golf cart but had never played any. D and I bought her a golf club her size and she really enjoyed it! It was a fun time...I only took pictures on mom's camera though so I don't have any to share. It was cute, trust me!

We ended the trip with dinner at our favorite italian place and D got his first ever pedicure. He walked away with one red foot and one pink foot. Such a good uncle!
