Brief rundown on what's going on in our lives:
Volleyball - currently we are 17-10 with just a few games left before sectionals. Tomorrow night is senior night and I can't believe it's that time already. I really can't believe these girls are seniors! They were just 8th graders playing on my club team. I've really enjoyed coaching this year, probably more than any other year. The girls want to learn and want to try new things. We don't always succeed, but they try hard most of the time. It definitely doesn't hurt that two of my best friends are on the bench with me as assistant coaches. I'm a lucky coach to have them with me! The worst part about coaching is the tournaments where I have to drive one of the mini buses. The picture below describes my feelings about parking in the transportation lot. That space was super narrow and I had to back it in. But, totally nailed it on the first try!

House - The house is no longer for sale. Good friends of ours are going to rent it for a few months, then buy it from us once they have the money saved that they need. We are really excited that we can help them out and it helps us out. Though it wasn't the ideal situation we had dreamed of, this is the best outcome. We're extremely thankful to not have to worry about that!
Flash & Ollie - the Dynamic Duo are living quite the enchanted life these days. They are lucky enough to go to Camp 4+ days a week and usually Aunt Sarah or Aunt Jessica picks them up and brings them home. This all means they are extremely well behaved when I get home...that or they're just too tired to do anything. I feel bad that I don't spend that much time with them, but I think they're still happy. I make an effort to snuggle with each of them at some point each day. I do feel bad for Ollie...I think he misses D. D was always his snuggle partner since Flash has to be with me. Since D left at the end of August, I think Ollie has slept in bed with Flash and me maybe three times and it's only after breakfast. I haven't quite figured out his reasoning since he would always sleep with us after breakfast when D was home. I'm not sure if he's playing Mr. Protector or if he is just too tired to move.

Florida - I spent this past weekend in Florida. It was nice to spend a couple of days with D after being apart 24 days...but who's counting!?! Our main goal was to find us a place to rent for the next year. I wish I could say we succeeded. We looked at 6 or 7 different places and made an offer on our top choice. We learned yesterday that the HOA in the community we wanted to live only allows dogs up to 30 lbs. Poor Flash and Ollie were too big to live there! And all this time, I thought our two were small bassets! Evidently not! D has found a couple of other places to check out in the next couple of days that do not have size limitations for dogs. Hopefully one of those works out! The rest of our time was spent walking the beach, going to South Beach, my first time meeting the golf team and just hanging out!

WHAT? I didn't know you were moving to FLORIDA! Oh, gosh...I've just been away too, too long.
I can't believe that place was prejudiced against Flash and Ollie cuz of their size. Oh, well. Who wants to live in a hoity-toity place like that anyway? I know you'll find something even BETTER!

I have been wondering where you were. Sounds like you have been busy! I hope you find just the right place for all of you. You know I am so envious you will be that close to the ocean :)
Sometimes life gets in the way and we need a break from blogging, I think we all go through that.
That is crazy about the HOA only allowing 30 pd dogs - that drives me nuts. Well Im glad they are getting all that stimulation at their daycare - I wish I could send mine there a few times a week so I could have nice and tired pups :)
